Should you decide to take a trip in the Lone Star State, you will find your transportation in the form of one of the many Cruise America Dallas RV rentals in the Carrollton rental center, which is just one of over 125 Cruise America RV rental centers in the U.S. and Canada.

Carrollton is a pleasant suburb of Dallas, and as a testament to its charm, it was named to America's "Top 100 Places to Live" in 2006 by Relocate America. That same year is was also named the 19th best place to live in the United States by Money Magazine, who also named it the 15th best place to live among small cities in 2008.

Before you hit the road from Carrollton, you may wish to look around the quaint little town. You can visit the Historic Town Square and peruse the shops and eateries nestled around the huge gazebo in the park. There is the Finishing Touch Antique Mall, The Old Craft Store, Ten of Arts Gifts, Vintage Martini vintage clothing store, Blooms Candy & Soda Pop Shop, featuring over 100 different types of soda from across the US, the eclectic Silver Star Mercantile, and Nature's Gallery, featuring fine gems, minerals, fossils, and unique gifts. There are also dozens of great places to eat, including the Agave Azule, Amici Italian Restaurant, Babe's Chicken Dinner House, Sid's Rainbow Grill, Lue'isiana Po-Boys and the Twisted Root. As you explore the area, be sure to check out the historical markers in front of the original historic buildings. Before you leave Carrollton, you may also want to visit the Sandy Lake Amusement Park.

Located just 45 miles east of Dallas on I -30 (or 30 miles east of McKinney on US380), Greenville would be a great little adventure in your Cruise America rental RV. It has been described as a town "like Mayberry with a Texas Twist." You can visit the Blue Armadillo Winery in the historic downtown, where you'll also find antique shops and unique specialty stores. Greenville is also home to the Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum, Greenville Railroad Museum and, for those with a sweet tooth, Mary of Puddin Hill (chocolate and fruitcake factory). You will be intrigued with the architectural details of eras gone by (don't miss the Central Christian Church), preserved intact or adapted to accommodate modern uses.

The town of Allen is located just minutes north of Dallas, and makes a great day trip for the entire family. You can get there by heading north on I-75 for about 23 miles. If you are in an aquatic mood, you can enjoy the Hydrous Wake Park at Allen Station, featuring three lakes and a quarter pipe. The Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium offers a flume slide and interactive water play. Celebration Park has the largest handicap accessible playground and sprayground in the state. If water parks aren't your cup of tea, you can visit "The Edge" at Allen Station Park where you will find an outdoor skate park and BMX track. In Allen you will have your choice of over 180 restaurants, so if you choose to venture out of the motorhome for dinner, you're in luck! For the history buffs in the family, the Allen Heritage Museum is the perfect stop!

No matter where you travel in Texas, there is always plenty to do, and in your RV rental from Cruise America, there are no limits and no boundaries!
