Known as the Red Rock Country, Sedona lies just two hours north of Phoenix. This slice of heaven offers breathtaking views of beautiful red rock vistas, overlook that will inspire a love of nature, and hundreds of miles of gorgeous hiking and biking trails. This town is known for its healing and restorative powers, and after one visit, you'll understand why. It is also a shopper's paradise, offering souvenirs of the old west, as well as modern-day curative therapies. There are dozens of beautiful places in and around Sedona to park your Cruise America RV for the night. You could park in one of the many RV parks along the Oak Creek Canyon and fall asleep to the sounds of the rolling creek. To get there, just take I-17 north out of Phoenix for 98 miles, then take exit 298 towards Sedona. Follow SR-179 for about fifteen miles and you will see the red rock formations that make Sedona so well visited.
After experiencing Sedona, you may as well go another 2 hours north to the Grand Canyon. This natural Wonder of the World will leave you speechless as you overlook nature's artwork. If you dare, you can walk out onto the glass bottom walkway, where you can look 4,700 feet down to the bottom of the canyon. It's as if you are dangling in midair. To get to the South Rim of the canyon from Sedona, take SR 89A towards Black Canyon N towards Flagstaff, then merge onto I-40 W. Take exit 340 B and follow AZ-64 and follow the signs to the canyon.
