RV Rentals In CT

RV rentals in Connecticut are easy to come by, as there are three Cruise America locations in the Constitution State. There is so much to see and do in Connecticut and the surrounding areas, that a traveler could spend months attempting to do it all. As an example, one could visit Mystic Country, located in eastern Connecticut, just a short drive from Boston and New York. There are beautiful RV parks all over the area, so you will never be stationed far from your activities. Here are just a few suggestions of what you may want to enjoy while visiting Mystic in your rental motorhome.

Ocean Beach Park – you can enjoy some of New England's best beach and boardwalk adventures here at the park. There are restaurants, waterslides, goofy golf, fresh water swimming pools and rides for adults and kids alike. You may decide to take a nature walk in the beautiful trails, or visit the arcade. There's even a health club available. For entertainment after hours there are beach movies, fireworks, car shows, live magicians, karaoke, live bands and full-service catering in their banquet rooms. You can station your RV right in the heart of the action at Odetah Camping Resort.

Essex Steam Train and Riverboat Tours – To see scenery that you can't even get to in your Cruise America RV, enjoy the beauty of the Connecticut River Valley aboard the old Essex Steam train. You'll ride along on a 12-mile narrated tour that takes you into the center of the valley. This train pulls its vintage coaches at twenty miles per hour as it passes through the beautiful towns of Deep River and Chester. You will pass through Selden Neck State Park, which is only accessible by boat. Once you arrive at Deep River Landing, you'll board the Becky Thatcher riverboat for a cruise along the Connecticut River. You'll pass through coves, inlets, marshes and you'll spot wildlife in the water or on the rocky shore. You'll also take in the historic sights of the Goodspeed Opera House, the Haddam Swing Bridge and the Gillette Castle. This 2-½ hour tour will leave your jaw gaping and wanting for more.

The Dinosaur Place – Step out of your motorhome and into the prehistoric days of roaming dinosaurs and active volcanoes. Your youngsters will enjoy wandering the 60-acre nature walk and seeing over thirty of the giant creatures that once roamed the land. There are also indoor activities as well. For those hot days, this attraction is home to the largest splash pad in the state.

Submarine Force Museum and USS Nautilus – There is only one submarine museum that is actually operated by the U.S. Navy, and it is right here in Groton, Connecticut. You will find a myriad of submarine artifacts, documents and photographs pertaining to the U.S. history of submarines. You will also be able to tour the USS Nautilus, which is now a permanent part of the museum since 1986.
