RV Rentals In Maryland – A Comfy Way to See the State
RV Rentals in Maryland are convenient, as Cruise America has two rental locations there. One is in Baltimore (Towson) and the other is in Germantown. At either location you can choose the rental motorhome best suited for your family. There are a myriad of things to see and do in Maryland while cruising in your rental motorhome from Cruise America.
Known to many as the “Old Line State,” Maryland is located on the Eastern seaboard of the United States, south of Pennsylvania and north of Virginia. This state is a virtual playground for RV traveling, as there are quality RV Parks dotting the entire state. If you were to ask the local folks what to see and do, here are a few things they might suggest:
- In Central Maryland you can station your Cruise America RV at one of the many RV parks, and venture into the city of Baltimore, also known as Charm City. Baltimore features many attractions worth visiting, but the world-famous Inner Harbor is a must. You may also want to catch an Orioles or Ravens game, or maybe have dinner in Little Italy. A visit to Fort McHenry is a must as well. This is where Francis Scott Key authored our National Anthem.
- Venturing west, you may wish to travel to Deep Creek Lake. With its 65 miles of shoreline, it's Maryland's largest body of fresh water. It's also a gorgeous place to park your RV to enjoy staying in the heart of nature's beauty, no matter what the season happens to be. Enjoy fishing, boating, hiking, swimming, biking and golf while staying at the lake, or just sit in the fresh air and take in the beauty.
- If you travel south, it would behoove you to stop at the southern tip of Calvert County, where you will run right into the waterfront village of Solomons. This quaint little island provides the best of the Bay dining, as well as antiquing and gift shopping. Here you can charter a fishing boat, go kayaking, or you can even take a cruise on a “Bugeye” sailboat from the 19th century. You may choose to take a tour of an oyster-shucking house, or visit the Drum Point Lighthouse.
- A trip to the Eastern Shore in your Cruise America rental RV will lead you to Ocean City. This resort community, open year-round, is flanked by a ten-mile beachfront, which is complimented by a three-mile boardwalk. This walkway takes you past a countless number of shops and eateries. Ocean City is a particularly enjoyable place for the kids, as there are water slides, amusement parks, haunted houses, miniature golf and even a Wild West theme park.
There are many ways to travel through the state of Maryland, but only RV travel can provide the space and comfort, as well as the convenience that makes a family trip a relaxing trip. If you have an RV already, congratulations on your travel savvy. If you don't own a motorhome, Cruise America makes it easy to rent one. For more information, visit us at www.cruiseamerica.com.
