New York City

With so much to do in the city, you’ll want to head into town with a plan of action. Don’t waste time looking for things to do. We’ve got a few helpful hints that will help ensure your trip is full of adventure.
With all of the bright lights, skyscraper buildings, people, and exhibits, it’s easy to get lost in the city. Not actually lost in location, but more often than not, tourists tend to get lost in the excitement of New York City. Therefore, we have highlighted a few of the most incredible sites you’ll want to see while in the city:
- Times Square
- Central Park
- The Statue Of Liberty
- The 9/11 Memorial
- The Empire State Building
While there are in fact many more attractions to see, these are some of the most popular. Upon arrival, you should have some sort of plan set. Traffic will be a bit crazy, but at least you’ll be in a comfortable motorhome!
As you get going, Times Square is a great place to start. Get some good food, explore lots of stores, and soak in the craziness that is considered the Big Apple. People will be everywhere and it will be loud, but that is exactly what New York City is all about. From there, you can make your way over to Central Park for a much more relaxing experience. Park your RV and have a picnic in the park. This is a wonderful spot to bring the whole family when you need to escape the craziness that is New York.
Lady Liberty is one of the most invigorating sites to see. You’ll have to take a ferry boat to get to her, but once you’re there, you are bound to be speechless. You have the option of staying outside of the Statue, or taking a ride up to the top. Tickets are a bit more expensive when going all the way up, but the views are well worth the price.
Two of the final spots to see are the 9/11 Memorial and the Empire State Building. Both are astounding and pay great tribute to the amazing city. The scene at the 9/11 Memorial is much quieter than a vast majority of other places in the city, as people are typically paying their respects for the lives lost that day. On the other hand, the wind at the top of the Empire State Building is so strong that it’s hard to even hear one another talk! Either way, you’ll want to be sure you see both of these while in New York.
