Boise RV rentals provide family vacationers with the most comfortable and convenient means of travel. Now you can avoid the hassles of airlines, schedules, hotels and rental cars by renting a motorhome from Cruise America, conveniently located in nearby Caldwell, Idaho. To get to Caldwell from Boise, just travel east on I-84 for 27 miles.

The Boise area offers a myriad of activities for you and your traveling party. As an example, visit the Boise River Greenbelt. It’s one of the town's most beloved and visited parks. The lush green pathway winds along the river right through the heart of the city, providing beautiful scenic views, as well as some great wildlife watching. This trail offers access to many of Boise's most popular riverside parks. The park is open year round, and the operating hours for the Greenbelt are from sunrise to sunset.

If you are looking to get out in your rental motorhome and explore outside the city, try visiting some of the vineyards, to which Idaho is home. Most of them are located in what has come to be known as "Idaho's Wine Country," just southwest of Boise. All of them offer tours, along with wine tasting sessions.

One example of these vineyards is the Chapelle Winery. It is the largest of its kind in the area. It’s located in Sunnyslope, which is approximately 30 miles outside of Boise. It is open seven days a week, and offers the guests complimentary tours and great views of the Snake River valley. During the summer there is a full schedule of concerts, as well as picnicking on the grounds. It is relaxation at its best. Chapelle’s hours of operation are:

Summer (May - September):

  • Mon-Fri: 10 am to 5 pm
  • Saturday: 10 am to 6 pm
  • Sunday: Noon - 5 pm

Winter (Oct - April):

  • Sunday - Fri: Noon - 5 pm
  • Saturday 10:00 am to 5 pm

Holiday Hours:

  • December 24th | Noon-3p.m.
  • December 25th | Closed
  • December 31st | Noon-3p.m.
  • January 1st-5th | Closed

Another nice day-trip in your rental RV would be to Idaho City, located about 36 miles northeast of Boise. At one time, during the boomtown days, it was the largest city in the Northwest. It was a very famous mining camp that simply refused to die after all these years. Instead, it has prospered into a thriving historical community. Now, Idaho City is primarily a museum and venue, offering a full calendar of special events. It also offers visitors a magnificent view of the Idaho countryside.

If you are a fan of the mountains, visit Bogus Basin. This is the valley's local winter or summer recreation area, located just 16 miles from downtown Idaho in your rental motorhome. The basin is a treasure of Boise that for years has been creating memories and special experiences for families. It is a charitable organization that was established in 1942. It offers affordable and accessible recreational activities and opportunities by making available programs that teach beginners how to ski. It also offers summer camps, hiking, biking and more. There are various RV parks around Bogus Basin to make things convenient in the event that you choose to camp in your Cruise America rental motorhome for awhile.

There are so many things to see and do in the area of Boise, Idaho, that you would need much longer than one trip to cover it all. However, no matter how long you plan on staying, be assured that you will find no more comfortable means of travel than in a rental RV from Cruise America.
