Washington

For a great experience with your family, Washington is a wonderland of gorgeous landscape and scenery, and there’s not a better way to see it than traveling in your Cruise America RV rental.
Nestled in the Pacific Northwest, north of Oregon and south of the Canadian province of British Columbia, Washington is a Mecca of hiking opportunities and exploration routes that are beautiful from the inside of your Washington rental RV. It’s been dubbed “The Evergreen State” for good reason. A visit to the Kootenai Forest or the Colville National Forest, or maybe the Olympic National Park will quickly make evident the reason for its nickname.

The Pacific Ocean Coastline, along with the majestic mountains of the Cascade Range, lines the state of Washington to the west. This is where travelers can explore Glacier Peak, Mount St. Helens or Mount Rainier, which, by the way, are all active volcanoes. These destinations are all best viewed through the windshield of one of our top-of-the-line Cruise America motorhome rentals, along with the rest of this beautiful state.

Just a quick 30-minute ferry ride from Seattle, Bainbridge Island has its own brand of rustic charm, and is one of the favorite destinations for Washington explorers. This is a community that can only be described as “artsy.” It has its own Performing Arts Center and Arts & Crafts Gallery, featuring regional artists showing off their talents. There is a great deal of intriguing shopping to be done in historic Winslow, with its trendy eateries and one-of-a-kind shops. The outdoorsy types will love a stroll through the Bloedel Reserve, which is a paradise for nature lovers. There are also abundant hiking, biking, golf, tennis and equestrian trails.

Leavenworth is a quaint little Bavarian Village know for delightful specialty shops, all kinds of authentic Bavarian and German restaurants, great accommodations for your rental RV, and a very active community calendar full of year-round festivals, music and theater. One of the most popular events that takes place in this Bavarian- themed town is the Christmas Lighting and Ice Fest. It lights up the town as it becomes a winter wonderland against the jaw-dropping snowy backdrop of the Cascade Mountains, which soar thousands of feet high into the heavens. There are plenty of beautiful, lush RV parks nearby, where you can park your rental motorhome. In fact, as you travel through the state of Washington, keep in mind that there are several RV parks that are located near all of the scenic destinations.

Also, Cruise America has RV rental locations throughout the state so you can choose the starting point that works best for you. To learn more about vacationing in the Evergreen State in your Cruise America rental RV, visit our website or drop by any of our Cruise America locations.
