Cruise America’s prices fluctuate based on season, location, and availability much the way airline prices fluctuate. In general, the earlier you book, the lower the price. To determine the price of a RV rental use the Online Estimate and Reservation tool on the top left section of this page.
Enjoy the sights and sounds of the city in one of our Memphis RV rentals from Cruise America. Experience the life and times of Elvis Presley by taking a tour through his home, the one and only Graceland. Take a stroll down historic Beale Street, where the music of the Blues was born, and where you`ll experience a myriad of nightclubs and bands, as well as intriguing street entertainers. Walk through the historic Peabody Hotel to see the famous Duck Walk, a daily spectacle that occurs when the well known Peabody ducks descend in the elevator from their Penthouse atop the hotel. From the elevator, they wander into the lobby along the red carpet that leads to their beautiful fountain, where they spend the day. The whole thing happens again in the late afternoon, only in reverse. Travel the Mississippi River on a riverboat tour. Enjoy nature at Shelby Farms, the largest urban park in the country. Dine on Memphis cuisine in a variety of restaurants … from local barbecue to fine dining, there’s something for every taste.
If you want to do some exploring in the form of a daytrip, there are several possibilities:
Visit the former home of the great railroad legend, Casey Jones, in Jackson, Tennessee. This home was built circa 1800, and is chucked full of railroad artifacts, including photographs from the days of old. Surrounding the home is Casey Jones Village, where you will find great restaurants, specialty shops and other attractions for the whole family. To get there just take I-40 N from Memphis to Jackson. It is at exit 80, just halfway between Memphis and Nashville.
Normally a restaurant wouldn`t be considered a daytrip, but ask any locals in the Memphis area, and they will tell you that there is one that is well worth the two-hour trip. If you are ready to abandon the kitchen in your rental RV, try Lambert`s Café in Sikeston, MO. It`s a very unique southern food experience for a couple of reasons. First, this restaurant is the home of the "throwed rolls." Servers will throw hot, soft, freshly baked yeast rolls all the way across the dining room to the diners that request them. If you don`t catch it, they just keep throwing until you do! Second, the food is outrageously good and plentiful. Each meal features "Pass Arounds" for everyone to enjoy. They are complimentary and they are served from large pans that are brought to each table. It is a dining experience like you’ve never enjoyed! To get there from Memphis, take I-55 N for 142 miles and you will see it right on the highway.
No matter where you decide to go in and around the Volunteer State, be sure to enjoy the ride in a Memphis RV rental from Cruise America.
