On your next road trip, enjoy the ride in one of our Kansas City (East) RV rentals from Cruise America. This is easy, as we have a Cruise America rental center right in Lee's Summit, Missouri, just 24 minutes from downtown Kansas. While there, be sure to light up your night at the city’s redeveloped Power & Light District, the local hotspot for live entertainment, dining and shopping. Tickle your funny bone at one of the city’s many comedy clubs. Explore the wildlife at the Kansas City Zoo. There is so much to see and do in the Show-Me State, that there isn't much time to waste … unless you want to! If that is the case, there is no better way to waste it than in a beautiful RV from Cruise America. You make your own schedule, doing what you want, when you want.

If you want to take an adventure outside Kansas City, then consider one of the many daytrips from there:

Atchison, KS is a hilly city in the northeast part of the state. It's easy to get to from Kansas City. Just a 49-mile drive up I-29 and MO-273 N and you'll arrive in less than an hour. Don't be spooked, but this town has been named as one of the nation's most haunted places. While there, you can take a "Haunted Tour" on the Atchison Trolley, or you may wish to visit the Victorian Evah C. Cray Historical Home Museum. Here you will find a mansion filled with furnishings of the period. Purportedly, ghosts attempt to hamper the efforts of media trying to shoot footage by tinkering with the lights and cameras. Amelia Earhart was born in Atchison, atop a beautiful bluff near the Missouri River. Her birthplace is a monument in which the residents of Atchison take great pride. It is open to the public for viewing.

If you are feeling stressed, perhaps a visit to the healing waters of Excelsior Springs is in order. This Missouri community is well known for its mineral bath soaks at the Art Deco Excelsior Springs Hall of Waters and Cultural Museum. Or, you could head to the restored 19th century Elms Resort and Spa for the same treatment. Perhaps your therapy should include a culinary experience in the form of a good burger at Ray's Lunch and Diner, or a luxurious dish from the upscale Ventana Gourmet Grill. What better way to finish off your food therapy than a trip to Oooey Gooey Chocolates, where you can indulge in a red velvet cake truffle or a pecan turtle, to name just a couple of their delectable items. You can get to this quaint community from Kansas City by taking I-35 N to US-69 N, then exiting on exit 20 and continuing on US-69 for nine miles.

No matter where you travel, enjoy the ride in an RV rental from Cruise America! If you're interesting in purchasing your own RV, check out some of our used RVs for sale. There are options for all experience levels!
