Fresno RV rentals put you on the road to California adventure - like boating and water sports on the San Joaquin River. There are also many lakes and reservoirs, national park vacations at nearby Giant Sequoia, Kings Canyon & Yosemite, and camping trips into the Sierra Mountains. With a Cruise America rental RV from our Fresno (Clovis) motorhome rental center, you'll have room for the whole family - plus space for luggage and gear, like bikes and fishing rods.

There are a lot of things to see and do in Fresno, as it is the 5th largest city in California. You could visit the Fulton Mall, one of the liveliest parts of downtown with the "pedestrianized" streets, shopping, music venues and eating areas. It is reminiscent of the 3rd St. Promenade in Santa Monica. Other attractions could include the Old Fresno Water Tower District, the Forestiere Underground Gardens, the Discovery Center and the Fresno State Farm Market.

Should you choose to venture out to the surrounding areas, you'll find that Fresno is about 3 hours from everything! Here are a couple of suggestions:

You may want to start by piloting your RV just 20 miles northeast on Highway 41 and Highway 145 to the Millerton Lake State Recreation Area. Here you and your traveling party will find over 40 miles of shore, where you can swim, fish, boat and hike. There are a number of critters you may find there, as the abundant wildlife includes ground squirrels, mule deer, cottontails, badgers and eagles (bald and golden). This park is the home to the original Miller County Courthouse, which was constructed in 1867. There is RV camping available right in the park, and you can book up to six months in advance. The hours of operation are:

March 1-31: 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

April 1 – Sept 30: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

October 1-30: 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The fee to get in is $10 per vehicle, and an additional $7 if you’re towing a boat.

To contact the park, call (559-822-2332).

Another great adventure in your Cruise America rental RV would be to explore Yosemite National Park. Just take CA-41 for 90 miles and you'll find a world of wonder. Yosemite is a great valley full of waterfalls, deep valleys carved by glaciers, grand meadows, giant sequoias trees and 1,200 square miles of beauty. There is plenty of RV camping in the park, but be sure to reserve a spot, as this is a very popular area. Once your RV is parked, you can start exploring within the park, utilizing the provided transportation. You could start with a trail ride for a true western experience. You will explore the valley floor on horseback, led by a park ranger. There is plenty of biking and hiking in the Yosemite Valley. You can explore the large waterfalls and learn about some of the rich Yosemite history. If there are children in your travel party, then treat them to the perfect "kids' day!" This includes a performance at the Children's Theater, followed up by Junior Ranger activities. Your children will be sworn in as official junior rangers at the end of the day.

The park is open 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

To contact the park, call (209) 372-0200
