Buffalo, New York is a happening place. Next to New York City, it is the most populous city in the state. Explore the area with class and in comfort in one of our Cruise America Buffalo RV rentals. There is not a more comfortable way to travel, and when you travel in an RV, it is like having 50-yardline seats to the world.

No trip to Buffalo would be complete without first having a big plate of Buffalo Style chicken wings, as this is where they were developed! The good news is that in your rental recreational vehicle from Cruise America, you have a refrigerator and stove, so you can cook them up without leaving the comfort of your motorhome.

Here are a few ideas of things to see and places to go while in the Buffalo, New York area. There is no difficulty coming up with things to do; the hard part is deciding which things to skip, as you cannot possibly fit everything in in just one trip. However, here are a few ideas:

Niagara Falls State Park: Just 17 miles north-northwest of Buffalo you will find America's oldest state park. Flowing in the park are the Horseshoe Falls, the southernmost of the three falls that make up Niagara Falls. It is the most powerful waterfall in North America. These falls are renowned for their beauty, and they are priceless for being a valuable source of hydroelectric power. The falls drop a spectacular 173 feet. The Horseshoe Falls are about 2,600 feet wide, but collectively, the three falls extend an impressive 3,409 feet. At Niagara Falls State Park, you can get close enough to them to touch them … literally. You will find intensely beautiful scenery throughout the park, as well as thrilling attractions and interactive exhibits suitable for the whole family. You can dine at the Top of the Falls Restaurant, stand within feet of the falls on the Cave of the Winds Tour, watch the Legends of Adventure movie featuring daredevils who braved dropping off the falls, and enjoy the sea life at the Aquarium of Niagara. You can also take an adventurous boat ride on the Maid of the Mist, which takes you right to the bottom of the falls. To get here, just take Interstate 190 North and cross the south Grand Island Bridge. Immediately take Exit 21 to Robert Moses Parkway. Continue on the Parkway as it turns into Prospect Street. Follow the signs to the park's parking lots.

Ellicottville: This is an enjoyable excursion from Buffalo. It takes about an hour heading south out of the city. The landscape makes a seamless transition from cityscape to beautiful hill country. The downtown area of Ellicottville features quaint 19th century storefronts with charming shops and restaurants. The backdrop of all of this is a setting of beautiful rolling hills. During the winter, the town is geared towards downhill and cross-country skiing, but there is something for the whole family year 'round. There are festivals of all kinds throughout the year.

You may not require a lot of fun on your motorhome adventure in one of our Buffalo RV rentals; perhaps the relaxation is enough to make you happy. However, whether you are looking for fun or not, it will find you.
