If you have any plans to explore the West Coast, consider doing it in one of our Cruise America Santa Rosa RV rentals.

Lush, verdant and picturesque, Santa Rosa is a great starting point for a California RV vacation. Ideally located between the rolling hills of wine country and the crashing waves of the expansive Pacific Ocean, there's plenty to explore near this pretty North Bay town of flowers and parks. You'll find beautiful farmland flanked by roadside produce stands, neat rows of grapes filling the horizon and miles upon miles of sandy beaches and rocky coastal cliffs. And to add to the perfection, there are several top-notch RV parks in the area.

Santa Rosa's Downtown is home to hundreds of shops and retail markets of all kinds, anchored by a mall called the Santa Rosa Plaza. In addition, there is a wide variety of traditional street shopping. Courthouse Square is named after the park and gardens that surround the area where the courthouse once stood. There are over 800 retail shops and restaurants in the square. Also, there is a very popular Wednesday Night Market, as well as special seasonal events and festivities. Don't look for the courthouse in Courthouse Square, as it was destroyed in the San Francisco earthquake in 1906. There is also Railroad Square, which was named after the historic 1904 railroad station. And for other historical buildings, there's the Warehouse and the Railway Express Agency Building, both from 1915, the Hotel LaRosa, which was built in 1907, and the Western Hotel from 1903. Railroad Square is now lined with all kinds of retails shops that include antiques, furniture stores, jewelry shops, a theater and close to a dozen restaurants.

When it boils down to it, Santa Rosa is a fun, vibrant city that is filled to the brim with all of the things you love most about California; wine country, farmland, redwood forests, gorgeous rivers and lakes, the ocean and last, but certainly not least, a Cruise America RV rental location. And to compliment that rental location, there are several great RV parks all along the California Coast. Book an RV rental in California today to take part in the adventure!

If you want to embark on some great traveling in the area, consider a trip to Calistoga, nestled in the Napa Valley wine country. It's a 33-minute trip from Santa Rosa via Calistoga Rd and Petrified Forest Rd. You will find everything from rolling vineyards, wineries, spas, restaurants, art festivals and other events. Relax in the world-renowned geothermal hot spring pools. Try the incomparable wines from the officially designated growing region, or American Viticultural Areas (AVA), where wines that will please even the toughest wine critics are created. You will find some of the best RV accommodations in the state, as well. When you step out of your RV kitchen to enjoy a meal out, you'll find any type of cuisine you desire, from haute cuisine to southern barbecue and everything in-between. The magic begins the moment you arrive in Calistoga. Well, actually, the magic begins from the time you set foot in your Cruise America rental RV, because the journey is the reward.
