RV rentals in Florida are incredibly popular. The places that you can enjoy the RV lifestyle within the state are virtually limitless. From the Gulf of Mexico to the Eastern Coast, there lies nothing but fun in-between. With a motorhome rental from Cruise America, the state of Florida really is your playground. And, good news; we have a rental facility right in the city of Bradenton, Florida, which is the perfect starting point for your RV adventures.

Bradenton is home to several family-friendly attractions, including the renowned renovated neighborhood called Village of the Arts. Here, special zoning laws permit residents to live and work in their homes. There are studios, galleries, small eateries and several other businesses. It’s the largest arts district on the Gulf Coast, and it’s a fun time for all … especially during their “First Friday” celebrations. On the first Friday night and Saturday afternoon of each month you’ll be greeted with live music, incredible food and all kinds of unique indie art spanning every genre. In addition, there is the South Florida Museum, Bishop Planetarium and the Parker Manatee Aquarium—all located downtown on the banks of the Manatee river.

Now, since you are in Florida, and you have a motorhome, you may as well hit the road and start exploring. It would take volumes to list all of the destinations that provide a great time for a family or traveling party. Some places, however, are more kid-friendly than others, and we have found that one of the most kid-friendly places in the nation is the Sunshine State! There are so many things to see and do all across the region, that you can point your Cruise America Class C RV in virtually any direction and hit something fun.

One of the most delightful RV parks in the state is nestled amongst 750 acres of pine and cypress forest, and is located right within the Walt Disney World Resort. What a beautiful place to stay while you enjoy all of the action that Disney has to offer. It’s called Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, and in true Disney fashion, it offers all of the amenities that you could possibly think of. Here are a few of the features:

  • 784 Private Lots, Equipped with Hookups for Water, Power and Sewer

  • Level, Paved Driveway Pads

  • Barbeque Grill and Picnic Table

  • Two Swimming Pools (one quiet pool and one pool filled with waterpark fun)

  • Nightly Campfire (Disney Style)

  • Daily Disney Family Activities

  • Pet-friendly Environment

  • Archery, Horseback Riding and Canoeing

  • Continual Running Free Transportation to All Disney Attractions

One of the great things about staying at the Fort Wilderness Campground, is that it’s amazingly easy to visit any of the theme parks or attractions. Between the buses, boats and monorails, they’ll get you anywhere you need to go on property. If you or your little ones get tired, it’s an easy fix; just take advantage of the free transportation and make your way back to your Cruise America rental motorhome for a relaxing nap. Once you are rested, you can go back to the park. Be sure, however, to get your hand stamped for re-entry. To arrive at Fort Wilderness from Bradenton, simply take I-75 N and I-4 E to Celebration, then take the exit toward Disney World.

There are many other attractions to visit while in the Orlando area, as well as the whole state of Florida. It’s a quick, scenic trip to many of the beaches, and the beauty is astounding everywhere you look. That’s why Florida RV rentals are so popular. Cruise America has several rental centers throughout the state, so you can start anywhere you like. Our rental representatives will be happy to help you decide which RV would work best for you. So, let’s cruise, America!
