Are you looking for RV Rentals in the Islip/Bayshore area? If so, fortune is with you, as there is a Cruise America rental location in the Bayshore area of Islip, New York. This is a great place to pick up a rental RV for your next trip along the Long Island coast, New York City, or anywhere in the northeast.

Islip is one of the ten towns in Suffolk County. It`s on the south shore of Long Island, and convenient to dozens of popular places to explore. While you are there, however, you may choose to visit Robert Moses State Park and kick back at the beach for a while. You can get there by going through a tunnel under the Eisenhower Lock. Once there, you will find a large variety of flora and fauna, along with a host of recreational activities. There are picnic areas, swimming, fishing and tennis courts. There are also a host of great restaurants along the shore, or maybe you`d prefer a show at the Patchogue Theater for the Performing Arts. The park is open year-round, but the hours vary so check online to see what time they open and close on the day of your visit.

Once you move on from Islip, you have only one decision to make; do you want to drive north or south? Either way, you`re in for a treat.

For an amazing day with the family, take NY-27 E for ninety minutes to the eastern tip of the South Shore of Long Island. Here you will find Montauk, where you will be forced to make some decisions … mainly, what to see and do. There is a 200-year-old lighthouse that serves as a beacon for this beautiful town. It is the oldest lighthouse in New York, commissioned by President George Washington in 1792. You can take a walk through Montauk Point State Park and do some seal watching in the winter, or you can kayak, surf, or do some beachcombing during the summer. When the water is calm, you can enjoy the unique view of the converging tides from the Atlantic and Block Island Sound, which seem to be racing each other. Buckle up and get ready to enjoy an RV rental in Long Island.

From Montauk, you can make your way to Hither Hills State Park, where there are 168 oceanfront campsites to choose from. To get there, just travel four miles southwest along SR 27. Turn left onto Napeague Harbor Road and you have arrived. What a great place to park your Cruise America rental motorhome! You can sleep to the sound of the waves crashing into the sandy beaches. Every campsite is complete with platforms and picnic tables. Also, there are four bathroom facilities throughout the park. While there, you can visit the unusual "walking dunes" of Napeague Harbor. They are located on the eastern boundary of the park. The dunes make for an easy, enjoyable hike along the sandy beach, shaded beneath a canopy of beach plumb trees, oaks, and pitch pine. The park is open year-round, and the beach is open from Memorial Day to Labor day.

New York is an incredible state in which to travel, with such a diverse culture. Exploring it in your Cruise America RV is the best way to enjoy it to its fullest.
