California’s State Beach Parks provide visitors and residents access to beautiful stretches of coastline. Huntington State Beach is a day-use only park on the southern end of town, directly on the beach. The RV park features 200 fire rings for bonfires, picnic tables, public restrooms and great conditions for surfing and fishing. Swimming is also allowed but highly recommended to only do so in front of a lifeguard station. Aquatic safety is provided by the California State Park Lifeguard Service, and the beaches are patrolled year-round with stations manned from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Bolsa Chica State Beach Park, on the northern end of Huntington Beach, does have an RV park and allows camping with all the same amenities as Huntington State Beach Park. Park admission tickets are good for any other California State Park on the same day, so if you want to surf your way up and down the coast, you’re good to go!
