Jacksonville RV rentals are booming right now, because there is so much to see and do in this part of Florida. Cruise America has a rental location right in Jacksonville, so your adventure can begin in Florida's largest city.

Jacksonville has some of the nicest weather you will ever find, year 'round! With its beautiful sandy beaches and the diverse waterways, you are never short of fun in the sun. If you happen to be there in the fall, you can catch a game at EverBank Field, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars. If shopping is your thing, there is every type of store, from trendy boutiques to outlet shops and upscale, modern malls. Once you have shopped yourself into a hungry frenzy, you can start sampling the many great dining opportunities that you'll find all over town. With over 80,000 designated acres of parks, Jacksonville boasts the largest urban park system in the nation. There are also a large number of RV parks in the area where you can settle in for the night in your Cruise America rental RV.

Jacksonville is the perfect starting point for some adventurous and interesting daytrips. For instance, just an 89-mile trip down I-95 will land you in Daytona. This city is perhaps best known for the NASCAR Daytona 500 and Bike Week, as well as a popular spring break destination. However, there is so much more to this town. Daytona Beach is one of the only places where you are allowed to drive on the beach. Talk about the ultimate tailgate party! If the idea of traffic-free, quiet sunbathing appeals to you, not to worry, there are "pedestrian only" parts of the beach too.

Driving your recreational vehicle just 140 miles south on I-95 from Jacksonville will take you to Orlando. This is the home of Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, LEGOLAND and more. Needless to say, you could spend several days here, and that is easy because there are so many green, beautiful RV parks in the Orlando area as well. Aside from the many theme parks, Orlando is centrally located to many great attractions, such as the Kennedy Space Center, Cocoa Beach and more. There is no end to the things to do in this part of the Sunshine State, no matter what time of year you are there.

To quiet things down a little, consider visiting St. Augustine. It is the oldest continuously occupied settlement and port in the continental United States. Founded in 1565, you can still see vestiges of the first Spanish Colonial Period. The narrow streets and the balconied homes are evidence of the architectural skills of the original settlers from Spain. While there, it's a must that you see the Castillo de San Marcos. It's not only a monument of stone and mortar, but also a symbol of the clash between cultures, which resulted in our unified nation. As you walk around this amazing ancient fortress, you can still feel the energy of America's grim, yet remarkable history. Be sure to visit the lighthouse that stands at the end of Anastasia Island. It was built in 1874 and still stands firm, beaconing incoming watercraft of the island's presence. The spiral staircase takes you to the top for a spectacular view. Don't be afraid; although this structure is purported to be very haunted, there have been no sightseers lost yet!

Florida is one of the greatest places to visit in our U.S. of A., and doing it in a Cruise America rental motorhome adds convenience and comfort to your trip.
