Ten Reasons to RV

There are only so many ways to travel. It’s pretty simple; you can drive the whole way in your family car — Oh, yeah, that’s always a blast with the kids squirming and the luggage getting rained, snowed and hailed upon as it rides restlessly on top of the car.
Ten Reasons to RV

You can fly. This is a great option if you like crowded airports, making your way through security, getting your flight canceled or delayed, and finally renting a car and trying to find a hotel. Yep, if that is what relaxes you, then that is the way to go.

Sometimes you can get there on a cruise ship. We won’t argue that a cruise ship is very comfy, but probably won’t get you to all of the sights you’d like to see ... unless you can see it from the sea … literally.

You could take the train or the bus. But, that’s only if time and comfort are not important.

Oh, wait … here’s an idea ... You could travel in an RV if you have one. If you don’t, no problem; Cruise America will rent you one of their high-quality class C RVs, and they’re just around the corner from everywhere! Here are ten reasons why you would enjoy traveling in an RV over the other means of travel.

1. More Travel for Less $$$ = Longer Trips

The RV lifestyle just keeps growing ... becoming more and more popular with our many travelers around the world. According to the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA), a family that travels in an RV spends 23 - 59% less than a traditional traveler. This less-expensive form of travel allows longer trips for the same money!

2. It’s the Greatest Form of Social Media - Face to Face Around the Campfire

When you stay in an RV park, you’re with your camping peers. Many are from the United States, but you’ll also meet people from around the globe. There are usually great neighborly conversations around the campfire, which lead to travel chat, which leads to sharing tips, trips and shortcuts, not to mention the latest and greatest destination discoveries that are eagerly shared.

3. There is an Endless Amount of Room to Play

During your stay in the various campgrounds, there’s all kinds of room for the kids to run and play … and they can do it right in front of your site. They can play ball, ride bikes, or do some playground exploring.

4. You Needn’t Go Far for Entertainment

It’s kind of funny; your stay at the campsite in your rental RV could very-well turn out to be one of the funnest parts of the trip! One of the reasons is that don’t have to search far to find activities for the family, since the campground has ample opportunities. Most RV parks come complete with some or all of these amenities: Playgrounds, volleyball courts, fishing holes, mini-golf courses, crafts, outdoor movies, and much more. It’s not just a place to stay, it’s a place to relax, too.

5. Singing ‘Round the Campfire

The hotspot (no pun intended) of the camping trip is always the campfire. Whether you’re gathered around singing, chatting or eating, it’s the campfire that always seems to be the center of the activities. Some love the warmth it provides, some love the way it sounds as the wood crackles and sparks fly, and some love the way it smells.

6. Camping with Friends

If you’re traveling with friends, you can usually get buddy sites. These campsites are next to each other so meals, games, visiting and eating can all take place in the common area between the two RVs. The mood is usually always happy around the campfire, as well it should be. I mean, c’mon, you’re on vacation for heaven’s sake!

7. Your Pets are Part of the Family. Bring ‘em!

If you happen to be a traveler that takes Fido along on your trips, you’ll be glad to know that most campgrounds are pet friendly. Several of them have doggy runs, or areas where they can run without the restrictions of a leash, and stretch those legs. There are always great places to walk and explore with your pup. Just be RV-courteous enough to pick up after your pet.

8. BYOF (Bring Your Own Food)

Your rental RV from Cruise America comes complete with a kitchen, so why not use it? There is just something delicious about food prepared and eaten in the wilderness. Whether you’re cooking inside the motorhome, or outside on the barbeque grill, or even on an open fire, it always seems to taste better when it’s done while camping. Now, we’re not saying that you don’t want to go out to eat from time to time; we’re just saying that when you rent an RV from Cruise America, you don’t have to. Not only is it fun to prepare your meals at the camp, it’s also way cheaper and probably way healthier than eating out every night.

9. You Sleep In a Comfy Bed

When you turn in for the night, you don’t have to sleep all crammed into tight spaces, like you might in a tent or a small camper. Our class C RVs have ample bedding for everyone in your party, and it’s not just a flat place to lie down, the beds are very comfortable.

10. Get Back to Nature

Campgrounds are a huge convenience, and it’s nice to stay in them. It provides families the chance to get back to Mother Nature by unplugging long enough to stop to smell the roses. However, what is even more convenient is that if you don’t want to stay in a campground and you’d rather go boondocking, each of our rental RVs are equipped to be self-sustaining, no matter what the temperature or climate is like. So, let’s cruise, America!
