6 Favorite RV Parks for Thanksgiving
ShareSome folks like to think of Thanksgiving as a wonderful time of relaxation and tranquility, but if you are the one hosting and cooking in the kitchen, you may beg to differ! You spend hours working hard to prepare a feast fit for a king … and before you know it, it’s devoured in a matter of mere minutes! How about undergoing a paradigm shift and switching things up a bit this year? You could rent an RV from Cruise America and visit one of the RV parks that take care of your Thanksgiving feast for you. You’ll not only love the carefree celebration, you’ll adore the family memories you create.
Here are a few quality RV parks scattered around our nation that see to it that your holiday meal is served hot and delicious, and there is NO cleanup!
1. Yosemite National Park – California
Enjoy a delicious expertly-prepared feast in one of the prettiest locations in the country. Yosemite National Park offers three Thanksgiving day meals prepared by professional chefs. You can make a choice between local organic fare at the historic Ahwahnee Dining Room, or dine casually with a gorgeous view of the falls from the Mountain Room at Yosemite Lodge, or go with a classic feast in a Victorian-era setting at the Wawona Dining Room.
2. Tennessee State Parks – Tennessee
Tennessee has an extensive network of beautiful state parks, each offering a lengthy list of amenities, including eight parks with on-site restaurants. All of these Tennessee State Park restaurants will be offering up a Thanksgiving day feast. There’s the Riverboat Restaurant at Paris Landing State Park, or the Thanksgiving Harvest Buffet at Cumberland Mountain State Park. Whichever you choose, you’ll be glad you did.
3. Grand Canyon National Park – Arizona
Located in the Grand Canyon Village on the south rim, and only minutes from the Trailer Village RV Park, the El Tovar Dining Room offers T-day fare in a rustic setting. The food will be served from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., and features all the Thanksgiving “classics.” In addition, there will be some less-traditional dishes inspired by the southwest lifestyle. Oh, and save room for the deserts!
4. South Padre Island KOA – Texas
If you happen to be in a tropical mood, the beaches and palm trees of the South Padre Island KOA is the place to be this Thanksgiving. All park guests are invited to their annual Thanksgiving dinner.
