Ah, spring is finally upon us! What better way to enjoy it than on the open road in a Cruise America RV? With the spring sun melting away the ice and snow from roads and campgrounds, now is the perfect time to get out of the house and into an RV. There’s no better way to see the country as it awakens from the cold and comes back to life.

At Cruise America, we offer great deals on spring RV rentals, and we can help guide you to some of the many popular spring destinations where RV campers can shed those winter blues!

There's a Cruise America location near you

If you need help finding us, check out our website or give us a call at 1-800-671-8042 and ask, “Are there any Cruise America locations near me?” Our courteous staff will not only direct you to where you can rent an RV, but will also be happy to tell you about our special deals on spring RV rentals.

Whether you're a first-time RV camper or a seasoned veteran of the road, we're here to help you with all of your RV needs, including helping you find some of the great spring destinations that are right for you. Here are just five of the most popular spring destinations for RV campers.

Steamboat Springs, Colorado

For those who still have not had their fill of winter sports but also want to enjoy all that spring has to offer, Steamboat Springs, Colorado is the place to go. Situated at the foot of the mountains where people still ski and snowboard in early spring, Steamboat Springs is also warmed by its natural hot springs. Less than three hours from Denver, Steamboat Springs has numerous campgrounds from which to choose. For those who don't want to drive across the country to get there, we recommend flying in and picking up your RV rental from one of Cruise America's Denver, Littleton or Colorado Springs locations.

Little Sahara State Park, Waynoka, Oklahoma

There is perhaps no place to make an RV camper forget about winter than Little Sahara State Park in Waynoka, Oklahoma. It's called “Little Sahara” for a good reason: this desert park has over 1,600 acres of sand dunes!  It's a bit remote and there are fewer than 100 RV campsites, but that makes it all the more unique and private for a spring vacation. Make sure to bring your ATV!

Gulf State Park, Gulf Shores, Alabama

There are many good reasons why so many people on the East Coast and in the Deep South head for the Gulf Coast in the spring. While others flock to the crowded resort towns, RV campers in the know head for Gulf State Park. Located at Gulf Shores, Alabama, this state park has over two miles of beautiful, white sandy beaches, a massive fishing pier that goes out more than 1,500 feet from the shore and an 18-hole championship golf course. This family-friendly park has nearly 500 full hookup sites with paved pads (and 11 rustic spaces for the truly adventurous).

Point Mugu State Park, Malibu, California

Situated at the foot of the Santa Monica Mountains in Malibu, Point Mugu offers the best that California has to offer. The park has more than five miles of Pacific Ocean beaches and bluffs as well as mountain trails to hike and lots of places to go fishing, surfing, boating and other sports. There are plenty of spots for trailers, motorhomes and other RVs up to 31 feet in length.

Assateague State Park, Maryland

Made famous by the wild ponies that roam about Assateague and nearby Chincoteague, this site on the Maryland shore has beautiful beaches and stunning wetlands, all of which can be seen from most of the more than 300 campsites. The rangers at Assateague are helpful and knowledgeable, and they can direct you to the best places to view wildlife, take nature walks or go boating or fishing. For those who want amusement parks, restaurants and nightlife, Assateague is less than 10 miles away from Ocean City.

These are just five of the hundreds of great spring destinations from which our expert staff can help you choose.
